Will Maybee, BS, CSCS is a Tonawanda Seneca Turtle Clan who resides on Seneca Nation Allegany Territory in Salamanca, NY. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine with a minor in Exercise Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Currently, Will is a Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator and Health Educator with the Department of Indigenous Cancer Health at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. The department is the first of its kind among the 72 NCI-designated Cancer Centers in the United States. At Roswell Park, his research interests include leveraging modifiable lifestyle factors such as pollutant exposure, diet, and physical activity as cancer prevention tools. He recently led and completed an NHI P30 research study that investigated colorectal cancer prevention and clinical trial education and recruitment among Indigenous and rural communities. In 2023, based on the findings of that study, he published a paper in the Journal of Cancer Education on colorectal cancer education findings. In 2024 he plans to submit a manuscript on the clinical trial data gathered from the same project. Will’s other work includes a sugar-sweetened beverage intervention for Indigenous men,  environmental contamination studies, international partnership building, and serving as a Community Advisory Board member for tobacco research studies.
