Rachel currently serves as Vice President and Americas Region Head in Clinical Operations at PPD, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she is responsible for the strategic direction and operational delivery across start-up and monitoring across North America and Latin America. Rachel has more than 20 years of experience in clinical research, working with pharma/biotech in different roles – CRA, Clinical Team Manager, Project Manager, People Manager and, more recently as a pillar head in the General Medicine Therapeutic Unit. Rachel is currently the Global Process Owner of Monitoring, driving continuous improvement of the monitoring processes, including implementation and oversight of RBQM. Before joining PPD in 2004, Rachel worked for Roche.
