Keyhan Afaghi is the Director of Clinical Quality Assurance at Corcept Therapeutics, where he leads the organization's efforts to implement risk-proportionate quality management strategies across its clinical development programs. In this role, he focuses on advancing quality by design principles and risk-based approaches to ensure the integrity, compliance, and operational excellence of clinical trials.

With more than 25 years of experience in biomedical research compliance, clinical quality assurance, and quality management systems, Keyhan has developed extensive expertise in driving quality oversight within both industry and medical research-focused organizations.

Prior to joining Corcept, Keyhan served as Senior Director of Clinical Quality Assurance at Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative, a public-private partnership between the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and industry sponsors dedicated to accelerating innovative oncology research. During his tenure, he established and expanded the organization's internal audit program and led clinical quality assurance activities supporting the groundbreaking I-SPY family of adaptive oncology trials.

Keyhan holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Montreal and a Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance from the Temple University School of Pharmacy.
