Dr. Leanne Tran (JD, MD) is a health lawyer with over 25 years of combined experience in the academic, health, and legal sectors. She is Principal at JD MD Solutions, which offers services at the interface of law, medicine, science, and research. Dr. Tran has expertise in contracts, corporate/commercial, governance, regulatory, privacy, data security, quality assurance, risk management, intellectual property, and commercialization matters. She is a Legal/Privacy Expert, Scientific, and Community Member of two Institutional Review Boards (IRB)/Research Ethics Boards (REB). Dr. Tran is also a Board Director of several non-profit healthcare organizations and on the Executive of various legal associations. She has worked in-house at teaching hospitals and their affiliated research institutes, a medical device company, and health law and global law firms. Dr. Tran has conducted research at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and academic hospitals, receiving grant funding for her work. She writes and speaks extensively on medical and legal matters, and has published numerous papers and four medical legal books.
