Kim Vigal is Vice President of Clinical Research at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, where she provides executive leadership for one of the largest community-based oncology research programs in Florida. She oversees a portfolio of more than 100 therapeutic clinical trials across over 30 research sites, with a focus on expanding patient access to innovative treatments while building high-quality, sustainable research operations.
A key focus of Kim's work is reducing barriers to clinical trial participation and extending research opportunities to patients in community and underserved settings. She has led initiatives aimed at improving trial awareness, patient navigation, physician engagement, and access to research across geographically diverse communities. Her work includes the development and implementation of a Clinical Research Navigator Program, funded by the Florida Department of Health's Biomedical Research Program, designed to help patients better understand clinical trials, overcome logistical and informational barriers, and connect with research opportunities closer to home.
Throughout her career, Kim has held leadership roles spanning clinical operations, alliance management, research administration, and program development. She has extensive experience building cross-functional partnerships, scaling clinical research programs, improving operational efficiency, and securing research funding. Her leadership is guided by a commitment to expanding access to innovative therapies and advancing the role of community-based research in improving patient outcomes.
