Erica Ellington is an experienced research administration and compliance professional with more than twenty-five years of experience in research administration and operations, program management, auditing, and regulatory compliance.  She currently serves as the as the Deputy Director of Institutional Integrity and Compliance and Research Compliance Officer at the Medical University of South Carolina. Erica holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Research Administration and Compliance, along with multiple professional certifications in research administration, healthcare privacy, and compliance. 

Throughout her career, Erica has demonstrated a strong commitment to educating the research community on best practices which support the establishment and maintenance of compliant research programs. In her current role as Research Compliance Officer, Erica works collaboratively with researchers, study teams, and research leadership to identify, assess, and remediate compliance concerns while promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
