S. Asra Husain is the Clinical Trial Team Lead in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where the team negotiates clinical trial agreements and related agreements with industry and other sponsors. Asra holds a law degree from University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana and certification in Clinical Trial Research Compliance and Management from University of Chicago. At MAGI@home 2026, Asra speaks on key contract considerations for industry-supported investigator-initiated clinical trial (IIT) agreements. Her session helps attendees understand how these agreements differ from traditional sponsor-initiated studies and which terms deserve close attention, including data, intellectual property, and indemnification. Participants will leave with a clearer view of how to structure and negotiate IIT agreements.
