Bob is someone who has come to believe that our industry regularly fails our patients when it comes to the administrative practices surrounding the launch of Clinical Trial sites. Too often, our negotiations plod along because we accept the excuse that "we're a heavily regulated industry." As a result, Patients are robbed of the opportunity to participate in Trials as their illnesses advance denying them the opportunity for novel care that could be invaluable to them and robbing their loved ones of the hope Clinical Trials can offer when every other treatment has come up short.
As someone whose family has benefitted from Clinical Trials to me this status quo is indefensible.
The rage and frustration I feel when patients miss their opportunity to participate in Trials because poor negotiation tactics have delayed site initiation has driven me to hone my own skills and led me to be an evangelist for better, faster Research negotiations.
With over three decades of negotiation experience, including more a quarter century representing Sponsors and the past several years supporting an Institution for the first time -- I know I have the background to communicate step by step best practices to drive CTA negotiations to faster, better conclusions as well as how to develop the controls and culture to make best practices self-sustaining, both, at HonorHealth and in my own boutique private practice (TakePoint Legal).
