
Jane E. S. Vines is a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator III in the Department of Medicine’s Clinical Research Enterprise at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she oversees study start-up logistics, feasibility assessments, contract negotiations, investigator education, and special projects across multiple departments and divisions within the school of medicine.
A 2011 graduate of the UAB School of Nursing, she began her career in direct patient care in Alabama, North Carolina, and California before earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University in 2014. Returning to UAB in 2015, Jane served as a clinical care coordinator for the Heart Failure and LVAD Program until moving exclusively into clinical research in 2017. She earned her Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) credential in 2022 and completed her Master of Public Health and a Graduate Certificate in Global Health Studies at UAB that in the fall of that year. Jane will receive her Master of Science in Global Health in Fall 2025. Her work is driven by a commitment to building health equity and sustainability within research and global health initiatives.
