
Matt leads all WCG-hosted events and oversees the company’s participation as an exhibitor at industry gatherings. These events—whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid—are designed to advance knowledge and innovation in clinical research.
Matt joined WCG through its acquisition of FDAnews, where he launched the organization’s event and sponsorship business and managed its online properties. Before FDAnews, Matt worked in the Financial Times’ energy publishing division, directing global events—a role that brought him from the UK to his current home in the U.S. Earlier in his career, he managed events for several London-based companies after starting out as a potential field geophysicist at Halliburton.
Today, Matt lives in Lovettsville, Virginia, with his wife, Wendy. Their three grown children have left the nest, leaving the couple with two cats for company. An avid outdoors enthusiast, Matt loves spending time off-grid with friends somewhere in North America.
