Alyson is the Clinical Research Operations Manager at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, where she leads clinical and translational research operations across the health system. She partners with investigators, departments, and operational leaders on study feasibility, coverage analysis, budgeting, and startup planning, with a focus on aligning finance, compliance, privacy, and patient-safety needs. Alyson built and scaled a centralized research support office, established governance and standard workflows, and implemented a system-wide intake process that improved cost recovery and reduced startup timelines.
Her background spans more than 20 years supporting NIH cooperative group and industry-sponsored trials in academic and community settings, including quality oversight, audit readiness, and LEAN-based process improvement. Alyson authored “Clinical Research Financial Considerations” in Sponsored Research Administration (2022) and is a frequent NCURA presenter on clinical research finance, compliance, and the post-award ecosystem. She holds an MPH from the University of Washington.
