Soun is the founding Senior Director of New Development at UPMC Enterprises, the commercialization and innovation arm of UPMC. She leads efforts to transform how clinical research is optimized across one of the nation's largest payer-provider health systems. 

As part of this focus, she leads UPMC’s Sponsored Clinical Trials & Partnerships (SCTP) office, building and scaling the infrastructure, compliance frameworks, and pathways that enable high-performing, industry sponsored research across the system.

With 20 years of experience spanning academic medical centers, integrated delivery systems, and early-stage biotechnology companies, Soun connects the dots across vision, strategy, operations, and future impact. Her background includes roles at Horizon Therapeutics and ReHeva Biosciences, advisory work with emerging biotech companies, and senior leadership positions at OhioHealth Research Institute and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Across these roles, she has led pre/post award operations, IRB administrative teams, advanced early-phase programs from development through regulatory milestones, and supported the creation of spin-out ventures.
