Name
Artificial Intelligence (AI): Build and Lead
Date & Time
Sunday, April 12, 2026, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Description

AI is no longer on the horizon — it's here, and it's moving fast. Yet too many clinical research professionals are working with their hands tied, constrained by institutional policies that limit or prohibit access to the tools reshaping every other industry. This workshop is designed to change that.

Over the course of the morning, you'll move from observer to builder. You'll hear directly from industry leaders about what's working — and what isn't — at sites, CROs, and sponsor organizations today. You'll work hands-on with the tools available to you right now. And you'll leave with reusable skills, frameworks, and exercises you can put to work immediately.

Participants will receive online handouts and exercises to take home and continue their learning journey at their own pace. Bring your laptop. Bring your industry knowledge. Bring your curiosity.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify practical, low-risk AI and automation use cases working today at clinical research sites, CROs, and sponsor organizations, and develop actionable ideas to pilot within 90 days.
  2. Build hands-on proficiency with available AI tools — including MS Copilot — and create reusable AI instruction files ("skills") for common clinical operations tasks.
  3. Describe the progression from AI assists to AI agents and apply a practical framework for designing, evaluating, and responsibly supervising AI-driven workflows in clinical trial operations.
